Weeding and digging over the slipway by most of the group PK dug out nettles and other weeds on Warrior’s Rest. EL litter picked.

Paul, Margaret and Pauline weeded de budded roses and cleared and tidied up. Pauline and Eric litter picked.

Volunteers worked on beds in front of the Visitor Centre with gardeners getting one bed prepared while plants were being installed. Plants growing through railings in the upper park (Cavendish entrance) were cut back. Paul K worked on the Warrior’s Rest bed at the top of the Upper Lake. GRA

MR, LE and PK weeded the beds in the Holt Garden, EL litter picked. MR tried to get rid of the rosemary beetle.

Main group cleared Ivy and dead branches from a rose bed in the Holt Garden. The path nearby was edged to get rid of overgrowing grass. The compound for the waste bins at the Visitor centre had the wooden fencing stained. Paul K worked at the Warriors rest. GRA.
