The main group took up bedding plants from the circular bed in front of the Visitor Centre and prepared the bed for winter. Eric litter picked and Paul K worked on the main bed in the Holt garden cutting down Japanese anemones.

Group of vols cut back vegetation around the figure of eight lake and cut away arisings from trunks. Eric and John litter picked. Paul K cut back old plant stalks in Boothby ground bed.

Paul helped Marion to dig out excess herbs and turned over the soil. Eric, Les, Margaret and John litter picked.

Paul K planted blue geranium, rose cutting and campanula. Eric dug out saplings and pruned back trees. Others weeded Visitor Centre beds and litter picked. Marion cut back rosemary bush and trimmed lavender bushes.

Most of the group worked in the Holt garden clearing paths of lichen, digging out ash, cutting back roses and litter picking.
