Was given the job of removing No. 5 fishing peg as it was too close to the island and causing snags.  The idea is to plant yellow iris and Gil the bank where the peg was. Dug out sycamores around the upper lake and cuttings that were cut back by last Wednesdays volunteers.

Shrubbery cut back alongside the upper lake.  Paths cleared of cuttings. Marion, Pauline, Sharon, Ali C, Sally and Ian staffed the Friends gazebo during the Firework display and my it was busy!  Our flashing wands, necklaces, whistles etc. sold like hot cakes.  Fantastic effort!

Paths from the Boathouse to the rockery, alongside the lower lake, were cleared of leaves and swept.  The Boathouse area was tidied and the graffiti and rubbish removed.  (Thanks Mark) Pauline Edge and Marion cut back and dug out plants on herb garden.
