Edward Kemp Community Garden and Growing Area

Glorious weather and fabulous volunteers! Joe attempted to weed the rockery but had to move away after a bee decided he was too close to the hive. Jamie weeded the flower bed and attempted to remove the green fly which have taken a liking to the lupins. John, Mike and Dan erected a netting cage over the cauliflower to try and prevent the pigeons pilfering them! Yev and Mark dug over their group plot and then Yev did some edging. John then made the ridges for the potatoes. Phaedra worked on the herb garden while Robert mowed and mowed and mowed! It was nice to see Gill and her daughter tending to their plot and then having a picnic in the sunshine.
